Experience. Efficiency.

Expertise

Canadian Benefits Law is a boutique Canadian law firm founded in 2012 by J. David Vincent, an experienced corporate lawyer with many years of practice specializing in Canadian pension, retirement and employee benefit plan legal issues. The law firm’s purpose is to provide corporations, general counsel, Canadian and U.S. law firms, and other persons involved in pension and benefit plan administration in Canada with a new boutique alternative of specialized expertise in pension and benefits law. CBL provides its clients with efficient, seasoned legal advice without the high cost, bureaucracy, conflicts and other issues often encountered with large firms. Many established law firms with corporate, finance and other similar practices do not have specialized pension law expertise, yet they may encounter complex pension law issues, especially while handling corporate transactions, commercial loans, insolvencies, etc. U.S. law firms with ERISA and other U.S. benefits law expertise may encounter unique Canadian benefits law issues with their U.S. clients operating in Canada. For U.S. attorneys, CBL speaks your language and can step in seamlessly to work on cross-border transactions, providing efficient, timely, cost-effective and expert advice to transaction and banking or insolvency counsel without the burden of conflicts and unnecessary or duplicative overhead.
